Rules & Guidelines for Admitted Patients (IPD)

Admission Requirements
  • A valid doctor’s prescription is mandatory for admission

  • Patients must submit:

    • Government Photo ID (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID)

    • Previous medical records and investigation reports

  • Complete and accurate disclosure of medical history is compulsory

Advance Payment Policy
  • An advance payment must be made at the time of admission

  • The advance amount will be adjusted in the final bill at discharge

  • Estimated daily expenses will be communicated regularly

Insurance & Cashless Services
  • We accept multiple insurance and TPA providers

  • Our insurance desk assists with:

    • Cashless admission formalities

    • Document verification

    • Claim processing and approvals

  • For non-cashless cases, reimbursement guidance is provided

Treatment & Medical Care Rules

Treatment Schedule
  • Patients must strictly follow the daily treatment, test, and procedure schedule

  • Only authorized doctors, nurses, and hospital staff are allowed to provide treatment

  • Unauthorized interference in treatment is strictly prohibited

Medicines & Pharmacy Policy
  • All medicines must be purchased from the SKNH Hospital Pharmacy

  • Use of outside medicines is not allowed without prior approval from hospital authorities

Patient Safety Measures
  • Patients must wear hospital-provided clothing

  • Hospital linen, bedsheets, pillows, and equipment must be used responsibly

  • Any damage or misuse may result in penalties

Cleanliness & Hygiene Rules
  • Patient rooms must be kept clean at all times

  • Patients and attendants must:

  • Wash or sanitize hands before entering rooms

  • Maintain a hygienic and sterile environment

  • Outside food, beverages, or unauthorized items are strictly prohibited

Medical Updates & Consultation
  • Regular updates on treatment progress will be provided to patients and guardians

  • Any medical advice, concern, or clarification must be coordinated through hospital authorities only

Rules for OT (Operation Theatre) Patients

Pre-Operation Guidelines
  • Patients must remain nil by mouth (empty stomach) for the prescribed duration

  • All medical history, allergies, and previous conditions must be disclosed in advance

During Operation
  • Patient relatives must wait in the designated waiting area

  • Entry into the OT is strictly restricted to authorized medical staff only

Post-Operation Care
  • Patients will be shifted to the observation or recovery ward as advised

  • Relatives must assist patients in rest and ensure strict compliance with doctor’s instructions

Rules for Patient Relatives & Visitors

Visiting Hours
  • Morning: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Evening: 04:00 PM – 06:00 PM

  • Visiting outside these hours is not permitted

Visitor ID Card Policy
  • Each visitor must collect a Visitor ID Card from the security desk

  • Entry without an ID card is strictly prohibited

  • Visitor ID must be returned after visiting

  • Loss or damage of the card may result in a fine

Visitor Limit
  • Maximum 2 visitors per patient at a time

  • If more visitors arrive, visiting time must be shared

Visitor Conduct & Restrictions
  • Hand sanitization before entering patient areas is mandatory

  • Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited

  • Loud conversations, disturbances, or crowding are not allowed

  • Children below 12 years of age are not permitted inside patient areas

Violation of Rules
  • Any misuse of Visitor ID or violation of hospital rules may lead to cancellation of visiting privileges

Patient Companion Policy
  • One companion is allowed per IPD patient

  • For OT patients, companions may stay only in designated waiting areas

General Hospital Rules

Discipline & Conduct
  • Silence and calm must be maintained inside patient areas

  • Misbehavior with hospital staff or doctors will lead to immediate action

  • Damage to hospital property will attract penalties

Billing & Payment Rules
  • Room rent, medicine, and service charges must be paid on time

  • Delays in payment must be informed to hospital authorities in advance

  • Final bill adjustment will be done at the time of discharge

Emergency Guidelines
  • Inform hospital authorities immediately in case of emergency

  • Follow safety instructions during fire or crisis situations

  • Cooperate with security staff for safe evacuation if required

Discharge Rules
  • Discharge will be provided only with written doctor’s approval

  • Patients must:

  • Clear all dues

  • Collect all reports, prescriptions, and documents

  • Transportation arrangements after discharge must be managed by the patient or relatives
